Victoria charges no annual fees on personalised plates — once you buy them, they are yours to keep with no ongoing costs. To transfer a personalised plate in Victoria, both buyer and seller must complete a Transfer of Registration Number Plate Rights form. The transfer must be lodged within 14 days of the sale. Transfers can be processed at a VicRoads office or online through the VPlates portal.
